Gas Hot Water Systems

Gas hot water heater systems are quite common in Sydney and Dial A Plumber have professional plumbers trained to install and  service them

Gas hot water heaters are often forgotten appliances, but when you have a gas hot water heater fault it can be a real problem on a cold morning. Although most water heater problems are pretty easy to fix, some may be impossible to repair and will require a replacement heater. Gas plumbing  should only be carried out by certified gas plumbers as gas leaks can be very dangerous.

Tank type storage water heaters are much easier to trouble shoot and repair compared to tankless or instant hot water heaters. They mostly are just a tank of water over a burner with a thermostat and are normally very reliable.

Tankless water heaters can be pretty high tech appliances. Such tankless units have multiple sensors to monitor things like incoming water temperature, outlet temperature, exhaust temperature, and water flow all of which may feed information to a small internal computer. The computer controls things like modulating gas valves and water flow valves.

The most common problems with gas hot water heaters are things like the pilot light not staying lit, pressure relief valves that leak or drip, broken or damaged dip tubes, worn out anode rods, and leaking tanks.
Gas is an explosive when mixed with air so it’s best to leave the repair of these units to our professional plumbers.
